Minerva recognises that personal privacy is an important issue, and we support the protection of internet privacy as required by UK legislation.

This page explains what types of personal information will be gathered when you visit Minerva’s web site and how this information will be used. Please note that although Minerva’s web site provides links to other web sites, this policy only applies to Minerva’s web pages (ie. including minerva.uk.net).

General

Personal information is neither captured nor stored through the Minerva web site without the prior consent of users. Where we ask you for some personal information (eg. if you fill in an online form to give us feedback, or ask us to send you some information, etc.), we will tell you what we intend to do with the information you’ve given us. Any personal information that you provide to us will be used only for the purpose stated at the time we request it. We will not sell, license or trade your personal information to others. We do not provide your personal information to direct marketing companies or other such organisations.

We maintain logs of our web servers’ activity. These log files include the IP address of every computer used to access the Minerva web site, and we use them to help us analyse usage of the Minerva web site.

We also use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google. Google Analytics uses cookies, which are small text files placed on your computer, to help us analyse how users use our site. We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in particular for the following reasons:

Email marketing

For email marketing we use Campaign Monitor, an email address management and message sending service provided by Freshview Pty Ltd. The following personal data is held on Campaign Monitor’s servers in the USA: email and name. This data is held for the purpose of sending email marketing and for monitoring performance of our campaigns to help us improve the quality and relevancy of the content that we send to you. Our website may contain links to other websites of interest. However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
