A: Our charges are simple to understand and our level of service and structure is geared to ensure you get the best chance possible of raising the capital you require.
Before charges are discussed we like to either see your proposal (Business Plan) or meet with you to make an early assessment of the funding options that seem most relevant and your state of readiness. We will be honest and we only ever accept a client if we think you are investible.
At that point we will outline our action plan for you and how we anticipate working with you. We cannot guarantee success but we will try very hard to make sure you are well prepared.
We charge £160 (+ VAT) to register on the Minerva Business Angel Network and £60 per presentation to present to our Investor Syndicate Groups. If you are sucessful we then charge an administration or success fee of 5% on funds raised.
If there is a requirement to continue working with you any associated costs will be fully discussed and agreed.
Reviewing your Business Plan or your Executive Summary, we strive to give you feedback within 8 weeks of your funding proposal: this service is free.
Acceptance as a Minerva client: raising capital is a skilled and labour-intensive process, companies accepted as a Minerva client pay a registration fee to cover some of this cost and enables you to get in front of many angels in one go and have your proposal circulated to our non-syndicate members.
We do not offer a “free listing” service because we do not believe that ever raises capital on its own, and is not the way we recommend you approach access to finance nor do we require you to either pay a monthly retainer or grant us share options (the ability to buy a stake in your company at a preferential rate at a later date).
